Turner Point Capital was founded by Ryan Doyle. Ryan grew up in a suburb of New York in a family of small business owners and entrepreneurs. He has developed a deep and diverse experience over the past 15 years across a variety of roles, including investment banker, director of credit ratings, balance sheet management advisor and private equity investment professional. After his career in finance, Ryan decided to follow in his father and grandfather's footsteps and founded Turner Point to acquire a business to operate himself.

Ryan was most recently a Senior Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs where he executed over $20bn in deal volume across M&A and capital markets transactions from 2018 to 2021. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Ryan held a similar role at Citigroup from 2015 to 2018 where he was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division providing strategic advice on transformative transactions in financial institutions sector.

Prior to joining Citigroup, Ryan received an MBA from Columbia Business School with concentrations in Finance and Management.  While attending Columbia, Ryan was a Director at Fitch Ratings where he issued credit ratings across the capital structure and authored issuer- and industry-specific research for North American financial institutions.

Prior to business school, Ryan was an Assistant Vice President at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods in the Balance Sheet Management Group, where he advised community banks on various asset and liability management strategies including balance sheet restructurings, asset securitizations and sales as well as regulatory capital planning from 2010 to 2013. Ryan began his career covering financial institutions in 2007 as a private equity investment professional at Resource America providing startup capital for de novo banks as well as recapitalizing and rolling up distressed banks during the financial crisis.

Ryan received a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from Villanova University. While at Villanova University, Ryan completed the General Course at the London School of Economics.
